You do realize Nintendo didn't intend for DS to be a GBA successor, it was to be a 3rd pillar in their line up. Nintendo got wind of what Sony was doing with PSP and came up with DS, the rest is history 

which is  what i was saying, GBA can't even be used as a comparison for proper generation in handhelds.
