"The Vita? What killed that was Nintendo & Sony. Lack of strong enough content from the latter while being a punching bag for the former. That is not an example of mobile gaming killing handhelds. " - That takes care of the Vita. The 3DS? Well, Nintendo had a rocky start with the device (from their own mistakes - often what "kills" devices in this industry), opting to drop the price and get things going later on. Since then, it has taken off, despite not being the success story that the DS was. However, they've just added another handheld device to the mix. If mobile is killing handhelds, the Switch should not being doing as good as it is, particularly in Japan. So without some concrete evidence, you can't blame the 3DS's lower sales on mobile gaming killing that sector of the market. Now speaking of "reasons", where are those, "examples you gave me"? |
sorry i don't buy those excuses, there ridiculous. you just don't go from 240 million to 84 million, because a few mistakes.
