The Switch+ games has done surprisingly well in France and Germany of all places. UK is a significant improvement over WiiU, but still pretty meh overall.

Exactly my sentiments. It's not doing as poorly as some think in the U.K. but given the size of the market,  Nintendo products usually underperform over here. I think the lack of shelf space allotted to it doesn't help either.

It is not doing as poorly as the Wii U, no. It is doing much better but where the Wii U was this is not difficult.

I am not saying you are wrong but from what I see in London ( I can only speak for London, and I do get around most of it a bit. ), it is getting much better shelf space than the Wii U ever did. Granted it is not at the level of the other consoles BUT it is still far better than the Wii U.

Why I agree with you that it is not doing as poorly as some think is that Amazon UK and Argos always seem to be low or out of stock, 9 months later. You couldn't give away a Wii U in the UK after 6 months. No one wanted it.

Walking past a CeX at lunch yesterday it was surprising to see the Switch as their center piece item. I walked in pretending to be interested in buying it and they said they had only just put it in the window and it was their only one. They got a handful after xmas and they all sold out quickly. They were selling it above the RRP.

I know this is no big deal but we are talking about a Nintendo console in the UK.

I honestly believe these positive sales in the USA will give UK Switch sales a nice boost.
