Yes you were. “The wife always wins” is a saying/joke, a common one too. That’d be like you getting as upset about someone saying, “Don’t worry if Plan A fails, there’s 25 more letters in the alphabet.” You either have no understanding of that phrase or are thinking wayyyy too deeply over a nothing statement

Exactly, it was just a joke. Actually neither side has to win, it is just a matter of both sides being able to dialogue and manage decisions.

I have a great relantionship with my wife, never had to use any kind of "I wear the pants" card.

Also its about knowing that sometimes youre going to get the final call, sometimes not. Like, I dont even try to argue about house decoration hahaha.

And I would never put videogames above my family relantionship.

I guess I'm idealistically different. I would never NOT have the "final call". The final call is whatever I want it to be and that's just how it's always GOING to be. If a woman wants to be with me, she'd better understand that when it comes to my life, I'm the only one in control of it... not her. And the same goes for her. I'm not going to jump between someone else and tell them no, or even suggest something along those lines. I don't own her, and I'm not her daddy.

Having said all that, if men or women want to live in a relationship where they ARE controlled, that's their right to do so. And if they want to live a lifetime where they can't wake up and make their own decisions without someone looking over their shoulder, or butting in, so to speak, then that's their right to do so as well.

But it's not for me. I make my own calls.
