Andre very likely doesn't know anything regarding the Direct itself outside of GameXplain all believing its going to be in January.

If you tune into the podcast with Derrick, they talk about how much work they need to go through in order to put trailers and stuff up shortly after it appears in the Direct and the stress it causes by the end of each of Direct.

No direct in recent times have been an hour you don't have to be an insider to know expecting an hour long direct may be being a tad unrealistic the longest NDs in recent times have been 30-40 minutes.

Andre's response is most likely just highlighting that.
