I thought we had some Metroid fans here ... granted I skimmed the other responses but I didn't once see Axiom Verge.
Granted I've only spent a few hours with it but Axiom Verge has scratched an itch I'd forgotten I had.
Spla2oon like someone else said seemed like a seamless transition from the first, although it is still a fun game to play I feel like I've purchased the same game twice with all the recycled content. That said I have not tackled the single player yet and only been playing online a bit here and there.
Marrio + Rabbids is a fun title and I got about 75% through it before I got Odyssey but once I got a proper Mario I dropped that game and haven't looked back.
Axiom Verge has been well worth the 15 bucks I paid for it and I am very much digging it right now.
EDIT: I now know why no one mentioned it , it came out in 2015 for the PS4... my bad for throwing shade at the "Metroid" fans in the thread.
