Depends on if Disney puts out another great trailer to get people hyped. I think their will be many who want to see if they fix the screw ups of this film to give a satisfying conclusion. But, it won't be all of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Ep 9 opens with less than $200M.
As far as TLJ goes, the effects are clearly visible. If it performs like TFA did from here on out, it will be down by ~$750M. If it continues to perform 9% above RO (excluding opening weekend), it will be down ~$810M. Either is too big of a difference to just explain away. At least for anyone with some sense. There's a reason Rian Johnson is reacting the way he is. Pleading with people to watch it. Saying just a few weeks after release Rey's parents can be retconned.
