We don't know when they passed the mark and they probably didn't sell exactly 10 millions. They could have received numbers of 10.5 millions as of December X but kept the "we passed the 10 million mark" instead of "Switch sold 10.5" since it was more as an accomplishment and not a "we are randomly reporting a number" announcement.
