It was telling how reliant their last E3 was on smaller, third party, timed exclusives. Hopefully we get that rumored serious Fable game, but I don't see much else bucking the trend thus far.

Indeed. Xbox will need a big shakeup to get out of this software rut and I don't see MS as willing to do that these days. Windows integration may be the greater goal for them but if they won't compete properly with Sony that section of the market will continue to shrink.
