Well, it has been a bit more than the other years. I'm usually spending around €1000 - €1400 on games, so about €100 per month on average.

This year it have been €1900... PSVR + PCVR games are the main reason for that increase (more than €700 = VR games). But don't worry, I can afford that. ;)

Here is a more detailed comparison of 2016 and 2017:

 

  • thanks to the Switch, the Nintendo percentage increased
  • PS4 percentage increased mainly due to PSVR titles
  • Xbox One has plummeted due to the lack of new releases; 3DS + Wii U already were very low in 2016
  • PC is over 50% again, almost 100% digital now 
  • "GOG & Co." includes all digital PC stores besides Steam... therefore a big gain from the Oculus store

 

Hardware costs have been low last year: only a Switch + Pro controller, the Aim-controller for PSVR and an Oculus Rift + Touch controllers.
