Several around 2014 were decreating that and how much lower than 7th gen this would be to prove it, while ignoring that Wii sales basically shouldn't be accounted... but would be a small increase from PS2+GC+X to PS3+X360 to PS4+X1 (and if Switch keep selling to core gamers the increase can be even bigger).
