Basically u need high level of the common elements (wind mastery, water mastery, etc). Pyra's/mythra/wulfuric "focus" is a must and poppi's "leap" too. Also from the top of my head ancient wisdom, dark mastery and noppon wisdom are also needed.
They are not hard to level up, but it's so fucking annoying that you have to stop and start again because of the field ability. It's the one thing i absolutely annoyed the shit out of me in the game.
