We’ve had this discussion before. Once newer games will make use of the new Ryzen based CPUs, Jaguar simply isn’t gonna cut it anymore. 6-7 years would not be a short console cycle. The 7 years of last generation were/can be considered extraordinarily long. Sony stated at the start of this generation that they’re not planning to repeat this. All generations before were more like 5 years long. Concerning the later release of a more powerful platform....It won’t change a thing. It doesn’t now and unless MS sells a more powerful platform for less money with a similar amount of exclusives MS is never going to come anywhere as close to Sony, as they were last gen, when Sony fucked up their start. Sony’s worldwide appeal is on a completely different level. |
Games can work better on the new CPU and still run okay on Jaguar. Depends on optimization and most games are not CPU heavy for a solid 30 fps.
6 years would be kinda short considering we had a mid gen upgrade. But 2020 would be reasonable.
You said the X1X l's specs will be dated soon so I was pointing out thats always the case. A new more powerful device isnt far off these days. That was a dumb argument so youre changing the subject.
