Anakin flew that Naboo ship in autopilot until it was in the middle of the fight. R2 had to disable it so Anakin(g) could fly freely and barely made it because of the mess during the conflict. Pure luck.
He got his flying skills after years because of the force and experiencie with the high speed pod racers. Luke never came close to his father skills, but was a good pilot.
