I just bought several really nice Blu-ray new releases (Casino Royale, Across the Universe, The Lives of Others) for $15.99 and a catalog title (Curse of the Golden Flower) for $10.99.
I definitely agree some stores charge ludicrous prices for Blu-Rays, but you can get a great deal (sometimes cheaper than the DVD, J+R had the Spiderman Trilogy on Blu-Ray for $35 the other day!) if you know what you are doing and pay attention to sales, just like with any other product.
