If someone is going to argue 3ds + Wii U they first need to prove that both these user bases are fully separate entities from each other as it's likely many Wii U owners had a 3DS as well causing an overlap in userbase, why they need to prove this is because by adding the totals of both platforms and trying to declare its behind you're essentially trying to say that each number is separate consumer as a total userbase.
To further highlight this if half of Wii U owners had a 3DS then that half would have to be subtracted from the total when doing the comparison as that's the overlap in the userbase and given how low Wii U sales are it may even be possible they all have 3DS'.
