Wow, so many bold statememnts just cause i liked the movie, this is really beyond pathetic. I find a complex character with internal conflicts that has made mistakes in life more interesting that a two-dimensional saint that is only good and can't do no wrong, also i liked that Mark Hamill made the best interpretation of his whole carreer thanks to this more complex character, if you want Luke to be an inmaculated saint forever then ok, I think is way more interesting this way which doesn't mean I hated luke to beggin with. |
Mark Hamill hated the characterizaton of Luke in TLJ and came very openly about it. He said that it wasn't Luke.
There is nothing complex nor conflicted in Luke in TLJ. He is just a depressed hobo, self defeating, almost crying , being weak and dying a useless death in exhaustion. That's such a cliche. I could have written this character in 2 minutes.
Maybe you laughed when he threw his light saber, that's a the kind of humous Disney is bringing.
