Yep. Personally, it feels so good when the fans of a series unite to say no to Hollywood fucking with a franchise they cherish. Resistance vs Empire. What really pisses me off is the arrogance of Disney. It kinda reminds me of the arrogance MS had at the launch of the XBO. "We'll just shit out whatever movie/policies we want and they'll eat it up. Look how well the last one did. They need us, not the other way around." I mean they seriously took the plot of a half hour sci-fi tv show and stretched it to fill 2 hrs.

The best way to describe it is to replay a scene in ESB, but how it would play out in this film.

Yep. The original director left when they fucked with the script. My guess was to make it more like this abomination. Mark Hamill said he liked the way Colin was going with his character. But, I guess Disney and Rian Johnson killed him off before they could do that. Doesn't look good since they now have the guy who wrote BvS and JL on board to write the script.
