I don't want to waste the faster free internal memory. So I just extract the microSD before downloading stuff I want on the internal memory (so far only Fast RMX) and insert it after that.

A bit inconvenient, but no biggie.

the speed tests show that the internal storage is only slightly faster than loading from SD so unless you are really nitpicky about that kind of thing its not really necessary. plus Switch games have relatively fast load times in general.
