Actually, based on the 10M in 9 months, it is trending ahead of Wii U and 3DS combined by about 15% in hardware and 40% in software.

That is impressive, especially on the software side. Needless to say my post was a jab at the numerous people on this forum stating that Switch needs to outsell Wii U and 3DS combined to be considered even a moderate success.
