I think the complaint applies less to the fact that they’re on PC, and more to the fact that for the most part they’re just not that good. Forza is obviously a highly praised series, but look at Halo and Gears: when the games were originally being developed by third party studios, they were great; ever they began to see in-house development, they’ve gone stale. Gears 4 wasn’t the worst game I’ve played in recent years, but it was the worst Gears title to me single-player wise, and I couldn’t find anything redeeming about the multiplayer. Besides that, pretty much every Xbox/ Windows exclusive has either been forgettable shovelware, or goes multiplat.
So the question comes up: what is the reason to buy a XB1 console? XB1X has hardware, but it has a $500 entry fee, and is held back by core XB1. Plus, by the time you finally get to really see the benefits of owning one, there’ll likely be a PS5 released/ on the horizon that will be more than likely a significant bump in hardware and offer exclusive software to prove it.
