Yeah the numbers don't lie, PS4 was at the top with hardly any contest it's launch year(and let's face it, the whole 8th gen).  Though like I said in another thread - Nov. 2017 was a special case, with PS4 discounted and X launching, while Switch had no deals or sales.  Take it as you will but the last few months other than those with a Black Friday in them have been led by Switch.  I expect the same in December with PS4 returning to regular price and Xbox fading into the distance again.

I may be getting confused if you're still talking about launch-aligned, but it doesn't sound like you are.

According to VGC Switch has only won 2 weeks outside of it's launch week globally against the PS4, The PS4 has led every single month globally. Switch has led months in America, but not even close globally.

And how has Switch vs. PS4 fared in Japan? But lets talk globally only as you want to. Look below at quote. With launches aligned the Switch is only 250k behind PS4 at week 41. The next 4 weeks are still holiday weeks for the Switch numbers. The next four weeks of PS4 numbers are somewhere in like August or something. The Switch should cover that gap I would assume before 2018 starts.

With the official 10m figure for around Week 41, we can see the Switch is now roughly 250k behind the PS4.
