One of the issues with Pokemon is after Gen 2-3 the art design of most of the new pokemon has gone down hill, and it's gotten a little overwhelming remembering all 800-1000 of these things and what their type is. Also, at least so far, the story of Gen 1/2 and the tone of those games absolutely blows Ultra son's stupid SKull squad out of the water. Hopefully, they will stop vibing and gangsta dancing and actually have a real purpose soon, but for now they are just silly. I still remember how epic it felt to search for and meet Red (from pokemon red/blue/yellow) after being silver/gold/crystal. I have always wondered what happened to him and his insanly leveled up Pikachu. Not only do I want more pandering to Gen 1, I want actual sequels to Gen 1. And I'm hoping the team rainbow rocket in ultra sun is a stepping stone toward that (no spoilers please, as I haven't encountered them yet). |
Well, this may be subjective, but gen 1 has some of the worst pokemon design. A rock with arms? A mime that looks like a pedo? One magnet, that evolves into three of the same magnet? The abomination that is jynx? A pile of sludge? A toxic cloud? A poke ball with a face that evolves into an upside down pokeball with a face? lickitung? a few eggs? gimme a break. Its only beaten by gen 5 in that regard.
Dont mean to offend anyone, but these start of statements can only be made heavily tinted nostalgia glasses on.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
