This is just me playing some numbers =) So unless my math are totally off here goes:

Week 43 (when the PS4 starts to gain momentum again) lands right up with Christmas. According to rumored number the November NPD has the Switch at around 800k, in Japan we're currently at around 500k in November.

That leaves us at 7,9M + 0.8M + 0.5M = 9.2M + Rest of World at the end of November
Adding in December sales up until Christmas I'll keep estimate reasonable numbers (probably a bit on the low side in Japan at least) and adds another .8M for the US and another .4M for Japan and we're at 10.4 + Rest of the World for November and December

So just guessing.. between 11-11.5M worldwide around Christmas. So around 0.5-1M ahead of the PS4 for the final 9 week stretch where PS4 should race back.

Such a nice turn around for Nintendo this year, I do believe the PS4 will probably have slightly higher sales after the year is over but the Switch should be close enough. It's been a fun ride :>

Nice speculation.  It is going to be a good fight for the entire system's life because just as Switch pulls ahead with their Holiday, Sony comes in with their holiday numbers.  We may not get a good idea of who is officially winning the race for at least another year or two. ha.
