Now imagine a non-native English speaker whose first encounter with the word 'ebony' was in porn. Next imagine the confusion when he encountered the word outside of porn, probably in a game called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, e.g. an ebony sword. I'm still not sure why ebony equipment was named as it was. Is it considered that hard that it's plausible to even consider using it as armour and the blade of weaponry?
