If the Xbox had a hardware future then they wouldn't slowly be transitioning to streaming - even on rival systems.
Microsoft during the Xbox 360 era invested heavily into video games - both first, second, and third party games. Now there is not really any effort.
Microsoft's future in games is clearly streaming and Windows.
