Oh I didn't realise they've released those already. Still adds to the costs even more which was my initial point. How much are they?

On the MS store, bundle ranges from $450 to $650

The Samsung has a better screen 2880x1600 OLED, HP is 2 x 1440x1440 LCD

But yeah. the Skyrim VR Bundle which includes everything is also $450. PSVR is only 1920x1080 OLED though, but has proven itself to work reasonable well. How the MS motion controllers hold up in actual games remains to be seen.

The difference one needs to consider is also the more advanced display tech in the PSVR. It's not just an OLED, it's a RGB matrix which greatly reduces the screen door effect. It's also a 120Hz screen!

Basically even a 2880x1600 OLED with a pentile matrix (just assuming it has a pentile screen) can end up with a more noticeable screen door effect than the PSVR has.(As can be seen with the "4K" Pimax already.)

I can't imagine an LCD screen would even be suitable for VR tbh, like the one on that HP one.
