just gonna point out, its been on the arms starting screen since 4.0 update. It wasn't a late notice at all

I think the issue here is that there wasn't much promotion for it like they do with Splatfests. I hadn't played Arms in over 2 months so I didn't get the announcement either. I only found out about it the day it started because I checked my news feed on my Switch. If it hadn't been for that I would've never heard of the event. I'm pretty sure many other people missed out because they didn't know as well.
