You sure about that? Wouldn't Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo take a cut of PSN/XBL/e-shop sales? We've even have a few threads saying Sony's PSN revenue > Nintendo's total revenue, I really can't see how they could manage that without taking a cut of all digital PSN sales (in addition to their platform royalty).

They take that cut already on retail games, hence why I excluded PC games. That missing cut is also the reason why PC games are generally cheaper than console games, both in retail and digitally. However the size of he cut may vary between physical and digital versions of the same game on a same platform - but that's something only business insiders could really tell you about, not me.
