Nah, I'm not saying that they're wrong. Because they have their own opinion, of course, it's just that my opinion has nothing to do with the general one. Which is that the Xenoblade franchise is making JRPGs great again (jeez, I sound like Trump XD), and I don't think people value as much as they truly deserve. There are some exceptions (the SMT series is constantly great), but some of the most famous, best JRPGs franchises are now pretty bad. Final Fantasy is the first franchise that comes to my mind, I couldn't stand any game since FFX (Funnily enough, the game I found the most bearable was FFXIII XD).

Well IGN kind of stated the same thing with their original review for the game. But yeah, a majority of the big Xeno fans seem to be either Nintendo fans or hardcore JRPG enthusiasts. 

I've tried getting into JRPGS and had a hard time doing so, even though I have a decent amount of them on my shelfs. They seem to be really long and have terrible beginnings. The only one I really liked was FF7 but I never finished it because of the stupid Keyboard controls   I'm not including games like Fire Emblem or Etrian though, those are great.

I'll still probably get XC2 though, I wonder if it will be the first JRPG I ever get through
