Although in may take some time, I think the Middle East will be fine. This terrorism is mostly a consequence of political problems in several of these countries (Assad in Syria, Mubarak in Egypt, ...), so it will probably cool down after a couple of years.

The issue is that Saudi Arabia is still the largest contributor to the spread of wahhabism. Unless we stop giving resources to Saudi Arabia, I don't see much improvement anytime soon
