Of Course that visuals aren't the most important thing, but reason why Switch is wining is not beacuse Rocket League, Skyrim or Doom look and run "good enough", but because hybrid nature of Switch, because Switch usability (playing any time, any where, with anyone) that can fit in every persons life style compared to only home consoles or only handhelds. Offcourse huge big games and system sellers game are also thing.
But I agree that people will asking more and more 3rd party ports on Switch beacuse Switch offers full handheld play and thats game changer compared to competition.
