#42 Fire Emblem Fates / 3DS
Time to throw some games under the bus. I enjoyed FE: Awakening enough for the one playthrough I did, but honestly, Fates, the Conquest and Revelation routes specifically, were great, it does away with some of the bullshit from Awakening like the respawning enemies at the start of the enemy turn, fixes the broken and random pair up system and Conquest delivers on some of the best and most challenging map designs in the series. Birthright is alright, a bit better than Awakening but not by much. But the overall package was good enough for me to invest over 100 hours in it. Not the best in the series, but fantastic in the gameplay department.
Major props to the OST, my favorite in the series so far.
