Have a read of this:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_black_people_in_Nazi_Germany

Also explains why some of the Nazis in the game are black, too.

Personally, going off of the picture I think it's pretty clearly only the left body that you could firmly say was that of a black male, and even then only if you do so looking at the head/hair, the right body doesn't show any characteristics, other than having the same shade skin, but that's also the same shade as the players hand too.

I think it's a stretch either way, and just being used to have a reason for some people to flip their shit and be offended, while blacks were never persecuted in the same scope as Jews, it was obvious from their treatment, especially if non-german, that they were seen as inferior too, so if one or both of them hanging were unquestionably black, it wouldn't be unrealistic.

I have more of an issue with them removing the swastika to be honest, because that shits all over their defense of depicting realistic or graphic scenes such as this, why include it but not include the swastika? No sane person plays a ww2 game, sees a swastika and things hey that's cool, and people looking out for it clearly know what it looks like and what it stands for.

I suppose it makes sense considering their belief in eugenics, but I always assumed Germans were neutral or only partially disliked African Americans.

Was a good read honestly; feels better knowing more about the topic. Thanks.

They didn't like anyone who wasn't Arian. Black people just weren't a big issue for them because they were very uncommon in Germany.
