Switch was ahead in the second month by the same margin as in the third month, and the fourth month, and the fifth month. And you're telling me that 3DS launched in nearly the same week of the year as Switch? Must be a coincidence. - 2013 (PS4 Launch) = 4.2M
- 2014 (just a normal holiday period) = 8.06M
- the point is holiday launches don't get the full benefit of the holiday when the product has high demand, and the only reason those consoles caught up is because switch was sold out. so saying those consoles had a huge holiday advantage is not true.
