Sorry, but since the start of this talk you only keep proving me that you don't know how these things work.

Fact that every console sell better during holiday season compared to any other period of year, in most cases consoles sale more in November and December than in two quarter before holiday season. There is also reason why most of consoles have launch during holiday season. Even Wii U thats worst selling Nintendo console ever, had good launch because holiday season, but right away after holiday season it started selling catastrophic.

of course holidays can help greatly if the console, doesn't have much demand at launch like the wiiu, but ps4 already had a million pre-orders way before it launched, switch for example sold about the same amount as wii in its first month, compared to wii november and december, because of supply issues. anyway next year it ill a 100% fair comparison for both for the full year. 

Holiday season helps in any case, console that don't have demand will start heaving demand, console that has demand will have even much bigger demand, there is reason why consoles always have huge boost during holiday season, and of course that same goes for launch of console also. Pre-orders for console that was launch just before holiday season. And that's exactly my point, because Switch has launch in March and had most of year supply problems and still have them, while PS4 was launch in holiday season and had less stock problems, comparison is definitely not best, and hole second year would be much better for comparison assuming Switch does not have supply problems.
