No we can consider them of course, but Vgchartz numbers are definitely not most accurate in any case, especially compared to NPD and MC numbers.

VgChartz is not the most accurate, specially because they have been Undertracking the PS4 for the most part of this gen, only for them to get on par when official Sony numbers releases.

You are saying that i cant compare Switch 1st year with PS4 4th year, and while that is a pretty valid argument, id say that in this particular scenario, things are not that black and white, let me tell you why (imo):

The Switch is receiving on its first year basically all of their Huge System sellers: A 3D Mario, a Zelda, a Mario Kart and a Splatoon game.

With the exception of Pokemon, that obviously would be HUUUGE for the system, what else do they have that would move a crazy number of units?

Fact is that VgCHartz numbers are not most accurate and thats we dont need to belive too much in VgCHartz numbers.

Yes, there is no point comparing at all 1st year of one system and 4. year of another system, especially if one system most of 1st year had huge stock problems and other system has best year until now.

What Switch received in 1st year don't change point why you cant compare 1st Switch year and 4. PS4 year on market. Yes, Switch have some very strong 1st party games in first year but PS4 has some very strong 3rd party games, and some strong 1st party games and exclusives.

Pokemon is not only big game left, you also have Animal Crossing, Smash Bros. 2D Mario, new IPs, Metroid Prime, new 3D Mario, new Zelda, new Mario Kart... With every new good or big game, Switch is becoming more and more desirable console, so Switch will probably without problems sell more in second year than what will sell in 1st year. And in future you also have price cuts and revisions.
