The only thing giving EA the confidence and finances to buy/close other good companies and to try to rip off consumers is that people buy their games. After a year or two of a boycott, they will either wake up and change this path or they will be a shell of theirself and the rest of the industry has more chance to thrive. It will be a different world and likely a better one. If you care about the other companies in the industry, buy their games instead and help make them stronger. We do have the ability to make a difference here. I decided I’m not buying EA games until all this changes. |
Pretty much my stance on it as well, but sadly I know many people - including several friends of mine - are simply not that disciplined. They can see how they're being ripped off in games like Destiny, or whatever the hell it is (hard to keep track these days)....and they hate it, but at the end of the day, they will still go out and buy these games and continue to support those companies.
