Popular is an inflated term in this case. Yoshi isn't really a system-seller and Japan doesn't care most of the time about it. While the games sold over a million, Yoshi used to sell over 4 million back in its prime.

This doesn't even compare to how Zelda and Mario Kart moved consoles back in the beginning of 2017. I'm afraid Yoshi isn't up to the task to carry Q1 on its own.

I agree, its a solid support title for between major releases but not a system seller on its own.
