Seems much better than the public deciding it alone. Then it would mostly be a popularity contest (PUBG for instance would have a way bigger chance of winning than, say, Persona 5 thanks to having sold like 20x more. Of course, that is somewhat mitigated by a large portion of PUBG owners being in China and probably not being as well represented as Persona 5 owners, but you get the idea).
