It was called 'Nintendomination' when Platina ran the thread. He kept the name when he inherited the duties and set up a new thread.

I guess Raven wanted to set it apart from his predecessors or maybe he simply didn't believe that Nintendomination would ever become a real thing again.

It's actually a much pettier reason. NintenDomination is what Cone called it initially, and I don't intend on ever following through on a Conegamer idea

Also NintenDomination just seems a bit console war-esque. I'd rather something a bit more neutral to emphasize the community discussion aspect of the thread.
