You're forgetting a very important question:

Are you looking for a portable system or a home system? Because it you're looking for a home system, the Switch is not exactly the best option out there. If you're looking for a portable system then I guess it works well, if you're willing to put up with a weak battery life (sometimes under 3 hours for demanding games like BOTW)

Personally (and this is only my opinion) I am not. If I wanted a portable system, I'd need something that lasts way longer than that and on top of that I'm a home system user, not a portable system user. TBH I'm annoyed when my 8 hours charge on my PS4 controllers are down as it interrupts my gaming. But 3 Hours only would drive me mad.

Now of course if it's the exclusive games you are after, you have no choice. You must get a Switch cause that's the only place you can play those games. Me, I'm willing to wait it out until new Nintendo hardware and a reasonable possibility that these great games (Mario Odyssey, BOTW) are released on that future system too. It's a long shot and a game of patience as this won't obviously happen for many years. But I'm willing to take that chance. I have a ton of games to play on my PS4 so it's not like I'm twiddling my fingers and doing nothing in the meantime.

I'm telling you this because it's important that you know the pros and cons before buying a system, any system.

Whatever your choice of system is in the end, enjoy the games
