I feel the same. The Switch's games are so much better than the Wii U's. It is also much better than most 3DS games as well. However what makes the system to awesome is the wide variety it has already. If I want to play an RPG I can go to Disgaea. If I want a 3D platformer then I go to Mario. If I want a shooter then I go to Splatoon 2. I don't think it matches the diversity of the DS quite yet. It has ways to go but this is a stellar start.
The Switch also feels like a greatest hits system. All the franchises that are coming on the system are based on whatever their most influential game was.. Breath of the Wild is based on the NES game. Mario Odyssey is based on Mario 64. Xenoblade 2 is based on well Xenoblade 1. Kirby is based on Super Star. Debatably the best Mario Kart is on there however that is a port. Splatoon 2 is a sequel to the freshest game on the Wii U. It feels like all these games will be seen as best in their respective series. Even Sonic did this with Sonic Mania!
Honestly I do not think we have seen even 10% of what Nintendo has in store. If Nintendo supports this thing for 6 years or hell even more than that this system will be on par with Nintendo's greatest systems.
