If they make 30M on a year that is about 2,5M per month and you are thinking about 2M of production on their factory instead of like 1 or 2 weeks on it, besides the already normal 1 or 2 months of sale on shipping channel (for 25M sales that would be 2-4M) so we would be talking about like 9M of unsold consoles on a 25M sold year... where does that make any sense?

At the current rate NS is selling every shipment is selling out and that is with them making 14m a fiscal year, 30m made would meet shipping demands and have units on the shelf for people to buy as well as prepare for the increase in demand which games like Pokemon and AC will generate plus at the current state of affairs demand will keep increasing gradually anyway. A lot of the unsold stock you're touting would be sold in Q4 period of the year where demand becomes much higher, 3DS will be phased out next year as well leaving the NS as the main focal platform to push.

Promisse of future sale doesn't justify 1/4 of inventory on the factory and another 1/6 of inventory on ships, that is a lot of cost just to meet some expectations of forum goers based on thin air that it will sell over the double of current year.
