I really hope the X does good on sales. I'm not a Microsoft gamer nor do I plan to become one anytime soon but I worry that if the X does not sell well that maybe Sony won't be motivated to push the future PS5 way beyond what the X can do.
Making new gen systems is a heavy investment and companies like Sony need to see that people are interested. In this regard, the success of the Switch is dangerous cause it might make Sony think that there is no need to push for more powerful systems and if on top of that the X does not sell well then why bother making a powerful PS5?
Just change the hood of the PS4 Pro, make a couple tweaks here and there and call that the PS5.
