Doom is an excellent game. Probably the best game of 2016, IMO. If you have not played it on another platform, I strongly recommend getting it.
As to the Switch port - it is very important to remember the framerate. Doom is a very fast paced game. That's what sets it apart from other shooters. Playing at half the frame rate is going to make a significant difference in the feel. So, that is something that I would consider a big downgrade for the Switch version. If you haven't played it at 60fps though, I guess you can't miss it.
With all of that said, I'm glad this game is coming to Switch. Every gamer that cares at all about first person shooters, or has some Doom nostalgia from their childhood should have the opportunity to play this game. I hope it sells well.
