I don't mean to disrespect you cause I think you're totally cool, but that is Bull... These japanese developers don't want to compete with Nintendo, that's one of the main reasons. And don't tell me they even tried on the Wii U, despite the huge success of the original Wii. They could easily have made the Wii U more successful than it was. Don't tell me these companies aren't stubborn. You have many console launches that were supported by these same firms with glowing games. Do you remember the failure of the Saturn? Well, the follow-up to that was the Dreamcast. And aside from a few developers that were loyal to Sony at the time, which is another thing that infuriates me, they flocked to this at launch with glowing games and major support. PSP was an unproved console and it got support from these companies right away. What's the matter here? You're willing to give these third parties a free pass like that? No! I won't accept it, sorry. |
3DS also had support from start, but for Switch despite its a hybrid Nintendo said its successor to Wii U and ofcourse 3DS left on market after Switch launch with much lower price point, also Switch had $300 price point thats very high compared to handhelds, also Switch come out after worst selling Nintendo console ever. Making games is a risk espacily for company that have problem with their core business, so I really dont think thats strange that some of companies were reserved with Switch until its proven like success, despite point they were wrong or stubborn.
