| Wyrdness said: GTA is inspired by Zelda guess how similar those two franchises are oh and MH4U had a Metroid cross over so by your logic the two franchises are very similiar as well right? No that logic is flawed, HZD and MH are nothing a like mate. Being more open doesn't grant you more freedom it never did in MH all World changes is that it removes the loading screens and replaces them with corridors I can gauge from your post you're not that familiar at all with the series more open just means a bigger arena. You know why BB doesn't even compare in your example in BB and Souls you can farm any old enemy and will always get what you require in MH not only are the numerous different grinds for materials but you also have rng in drop rate the result is that you can do the same grind for hours and not get what you require and when you finally do it's not the sufficient amount. Comparing BB and Souls grind to MH's grind is like comparing a school's sports day to the Olympics, the fact that your cousins cheated for the armours tells you straight away how it's going to go down with many western gamers. You know why I'm not looking at online co-op? Because the series has had that since the beginning the Wii game had it and it worked well you're arguing as if MH has never had any decent online when it always has. |
Comparing apples to orange. Have you seen and played HZD. They share a lot of similarities. Just watch the gameplay video. >_>

“In Japan, the giant monster hunting action genre seems to be popular, so if people ask us whether we’ve been influenced by a particular title, I tell them frankly that we’ve gotten inspiration from Monster Hunter.”
Guerrilla Games even went on to further compare the two games. “Horizon: Zero Dawn may serve as an example of a Western hunting game,” said the developer.
As for BB. I cite that as an example because that game will test your patience. Bloodborne is hard. Making the grinding hard. That's not a freaking walk in a park. If you don't have the right skill set then good luck Grinding blood. Anyway, my main point was PS4 user are diverese and you are underestimating it.
As for the open world. Yes I stand by it. It became more seamless. Where you can lure the monster in a different area to fight of a different monster, set up traps. Go to a higher ground to gain vantage point. This trailer below is a perfect example of what I am talking about.
As for the PSP example you will need to hack your PSP to do it in order for you to have those armors easily. Here in my country PSP hacks are very prominent. It happened with 3DS mon hun aswell.

I guess a lot of PS4 users that will buy the game will need to hack their PS4 then since you will see that happening.
