The reason exlusives sell better on the ps3 is
b/c they HAVE to buy something for the system. People usually get the
multiplatform games for the 360/ Wii....

PHAIL!

Er, that doesn't make any sense.  The reason Sony fans buy masses of exclusives, even though those exclusives normally score less on metacritic than comparable exclusives on the 360 is because they have LESS to play.

Take PGR4 on the 360 for example.  In insanely awesome game according to metacritic, but it came at a time when 360 owners simply had too many awesome games to play so it bombed hard.  If it had been multiplatform or PS3 exclusive it would have done far better, with Sony PS3 owners clamouring for something to play.

It was one major argument for why GTAIV would have a higher attach rate on the PS3.  If you have less to play, your more likely to rally around the big multiplat.

The ps3 and 360 had a similar number of releases last holiday season, so outside of everyone having a need to buy Halo,  I don't see why owners of one console would've been more pressed to buy the game than owners of the other.

Sure, the 360 catalog is much larger, but I don't see why catalog titles would've prevented people from picking up PGR4.

Most games are multiplat.  I don't see why ps3 owners choosing exclusive games over multiplats implies that the ps3 is suddenly recieving less games than the 360, since most are multiplat, thus the influx of new releases should be relatively even on both platforms.  It just implies that the exclusive titles are generally better, which should hold true for all three platforms.  1st/2nd party titles are generally the top of the heap in terms of quality, as they are made by the console manufacturer with the sole intention of selling more systems and thus even more software.
