Nintendo DS didn't start very strong, initially. Surprised me.

The DS had a crappy lineup to start out with.  It really didn't have any system sellers till about six months after its launch when Mario Kart came out.  Then the DS Lite released, and the rest is history.

You're not wrong. It has sold only about 7 million lifetime, in fact making it Nintendo's worst selling console (except that which shall not be named). An epic failure, may I add.

False. If we are making Harry Potter connections, then Wii U would be "shall not be named." The virtual boy was Doloris Freaking Umbridge, the true evil and epicenter of doom in that series.

No, Dolores Umbridge was the true hero of that story. *spoilers* Hogwarts was a terribly run institution. There was one janitor (without magic powers) responsible for maintaining a castle of a couple of hundred students. The divinations teacher was truly useless and, in addition to simply wasting everyone's time, informed certain students that they would die. As the students were led to believe that she actually could predict the future, this amounts to psychological torture. The school hired 2 death eaters to teach defense against the dark arts, and actually employed Voldemort (or his head) for a year.    The school had no actual security and instead relied on soul sucking demons who would attack students on sight to defend from a serial killer... which they failed to do.  Around a half a dozen students were petrified one year.  The students never learned any math, natural science, health or sex education etc.  One year, they decided to cancel all tests, which completely prevents the teachers from knowing whether their pedagogy was effective.  Students were allowed to engage in incredibly risky athletic events where one student was killed.  Students were nearly entirely unsupervised, and the school was severely understaffed.

Dolores Umbridge was the only one who seemed to care that the kids got a decent education.  Sadly, they did not learn to appreaciate her, and they drove her into the arms of the death eaters.  Truly tragic.
